Rancho Caballito de Mar is a family owned and operated private boarding facility located in the small town of Ramona on 8 acres. Our main focus is on catering to those who love their horses and want the best possible care and quality of life for their equine partners. Due to our complete package of services and our peaceful environment, RCB is an ideal retirement and lay-up facility. We accept a limited number of horses to facilitate quality care and attention to your horse's safety, security and health, both physically and emotionally. Each and every horse at our ranch is treated and cared for as if they are our own.

Rita personally oversees all aspects of the ranch and gives special personal attention to the care of your horse including feeding, blanketing, supplements and general health of your horse (including scratches and kisses at no extra charge).

If your horse likes the social scene, we can accommodate him or her in any one of our 4 large pastures offering plenty of shade, gently rolling hills and soft, cozy sandy spots for a morning snooze or an evening game of tag.

Rancho Caballito de Mar is located off the Hwy. 78 just 5 miles north of Ramona, CA. Approximately 40 miles northeast of San Diego, Ramona is in the foothills of the Cuyamaca Mountains at an elevation of 2,300 feet. We have an awesome valley view of Ramona and on a clear day can see all the way to the ocean. We consistently have a nice ocean breeze and clear cool nights.
